Classic Meatloaf

Meatloaf is the perfect comfort food. We all grew up eating it ūüôā

Add Bacon .. Ground Veal & Pork…and Viola…a new family favorite!!


  • 1¬†tbsp. Vegetable or Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Onion…finely chopped
  • 1-1/2 tsp.¬†Garlic…minced
  • 3/4 lb. ground Beef
  • 3/4 lb. ground Veal
  • 3/4 lb. ground Pork
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Ketchup or Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 3/4 cup plain Breadcrumbs
  • 1¬† large Egg
  • 1-1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 3/4 tsp. ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh flat leaf Parsley…finely chopped
  • 8 -10 slices raw Bacon…enough to wrap loaf ūüėČ


  • Heat oven to 350¬įF
  • Heat Oil in a small saut√© pan…¬†add Onions… cook until soft… about 4 minutes
  • Add Garlic..saut√© another 1- 2 minutes…set aside to cool.
  • Combine in a large mixing bowl…¬†all the remaining ingredients except Bacon.
  • Add cooled Onion Garlic mixture to Meat mixture.
  • Mix with¬†your hands¬†just until ingredients are combined. Don’t overwork the meat or it will become dry.
  • Slightly oil or spray with non stick spray¬†a rimmed baking sheet..pour meat mixture onto pan..shape it into a large loaf.
  • Wrap strips of Bacon around loaf…being sure to¬†tuck the ends underneath¬†the loaf. ūüėČ
  • Bake Meatloaf¬† 50¬†– 60 minutes or until a meat¬†thermometer registers 160¬įF
  • Let Meatloaf rest 10- 15 minutes before slicing ūüėČ
